Discord sends a six-digit verification code, then a separate "Verify Email" link before you can join most servers. That is the mail you are waiting for on this page — paste the address above into the signup form and it will appear in the inbox on its own.
Will a disposable address be accepted?
We are not going to promise you that it will. Every large service keeps a blocklist of disposable domains and updates it constantly, so an address that worked last week can be refused today, and a domain that is blocked for one person may pass for another. Anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.
The reliable way to find out takes about ten seconds: copy the address above, paste it into the signup form, and see whether the code arrives. If the form rejects it outright, generate a new address on a different domain and try again.
What Discord specifically does
Discord is one of the strictest services on this list. It maintains an active blocklist of disposable domains and updates it often, so an address that worked last month may be rejected today. You will usually find out immediately: the signup form refuses the address rather than sending anything.
The bigger issue comes later. Discord asks you to re-verify by email when you log in from a new device, when you enable 2FA, and whenever its risk system flags the account. If you cannot open the original mailbox at that moment, the account is effectively gone - there is no phone-only recovery path for an email-only account.
Most servers of any size also require a verified email before you can post, so an unverified throwaway account often cannot do the thing you made it for.
What you lose if the mailbox goes away
High risk. Reasonable for a read-only alt you genuinely do not mind losing. A poor choice for anything you will log into from more than one device.
