What Amazon sends to your inbox

Amazon sends a one-time password at signup, then order confirmations, delivery updates and sign-in alerts. That is the mail you are waiting for on this page — paste the address above into the signup form and it will appear in the inbox on its own.

Will a disposable address be accepted?

We are not going to promise you that it will. Every large service keeps a blocklist of disposable domains and updates it constantly, so an address that worked last week can be refused today, and a domain that is blocked for one person may pass for another. Anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.

The reliable way to find out takes about ten seconds: copy the address above, paste it into the signup form, and see whether the code arrives. If the form rejects it outright, generate a new address on a different domain and try again.

What Amazon specifically does

Amazon uses email as an active part of every order. Confirmations, delivery notices, return labels and refund confirmations all go there, and a return you cannot see the label for is a return you cannot make.

Sign-in from a new device triggers a one-time password to the same address, so the mailbox is not a one-off signup step — you will need it repeatedly.

Amazon account recovery is also unusually strict, because accounts hold payment methods. Support will not simply move an account to a new address; the verification path assumes you control the old one.

What you lose if the mailbox goes away

Very high risk. Do not use a disposable address for an account that will place orders. There is no way to undo it later.

How to use the mailbox on this page

  1. Copy the address at the top of this page.
  2. Paste it into Amazon’s signup form.
  3. Watch the inbox above — the message arrives on its own, no refresh needed.
  4. Open it, use the code or link, and delete the mailbox when you are done.

The address stays with you in this browser, so you can come back to it later. It is never reissued to anyone else once it has been used.
