Will a disposable address be accepted?

We are not going to promise you that it will. Every large service keeps a blocklist of disposable domains and updates it constantly, so an address that worked last week can be refused today, and a domain that is blocked for one person may pass for another. Anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.

The reliable way to find out takes about ten seconds: copy the address above, paste it into the signup form, and see whether the code arrives. If the form rejects it outright, generate a new address on a different domain and try again.

What Instagram specifically does

Instagram screens disposable domains at signup and rejects a lot of them outright. When it does not reject the address, it often flags the account within days for "suspicious activity" - new accounts on unfamiliar addresses draw attention.

That is where the real problem starts. Instagram lockouts are common and email is the primary way back in. Meta accounts created without a phone number and verified only by a disposable address are among the hardest to recover; the automated flow has nowhere to send the code, and there is no human queue to escalate to.

If the reason you want a temporary address is that you do not want Meta linking the account to your main identity, note that the app also fingerprints the device and network - the email address is a small part of what it sees.
