What PayPal sends to your inbox
PayPal sends a confirmation link, then every transaction, dispute and security notice. That is the mail you are waiting for on this page — paste the address above into the signup form and it will appear in the inbox on its own.
Will a disposable address be accepted?
We are not going to promise you that it will. Every large service keeps a blocklist of disposable domains and updates it constantly, so an address that worked last week can be refused today, and a domain that is blocked for one person may pass for another. Anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.
The reliable way to find out takes about ten seconds: copy the address above, paste it into the signup form, and see whether the code arrives. If the form rejects it outright, generate a new address on a different domain and try again.
What PayPal specifically does
We are going to be blunt, because there is no version of this that ends well. On PayPal the email address is the account identifier — it is what people send money to, and what PayPal writes to when something goes wrong.
Every transaction notice, every dispute, every unauthorised-activity alert goes to that address. If you cannot read it, you will not know a payment was taken until you look at your bank. Dispute windows expire; a claim you never saw is a claim you lose.
PayPal also blocks disposable domains at signup as an anti-fraud measure, and accounts that get through are frequently limited pending verification — which is resolved, inevitably, by email.
If your concern is marketing mail, the right answer is an alias from your own provider that forwards to you permanently, not an address that disappears.
What you lose if the mailbox goes away
Very high risk. No. A financial account needs an address you will still control in two years.
